Francis Remacle, the former head of the securities industry division at financial messaging network Swift, has joined the advisory board of compliance management outfit Mathon Systems.
The four year-old information risk management firm announced the appointment in advance of the company's debut appearance at the Swift international banking conference Sibos, which takes place in Sydney next week.
The company, formed by CEO Angus McDonald - the technical founder of Tibco Software - and staffed by former senior Tibco staffers and financial industry veterans, produces technology for managing unstructured documents - such as spreadsheets, PDFs and e-mails - for compliance purposes. The firm says its Integral appliance is currently in production at several global financial institutions.
Veteran Swift executive Remacle - who retired from the banking co-op last year - is the first appointment to the California-based company's newly-formed advisory board. The forum has been created to provide discussion, feedback and consultation on issues related to product functionality, strategy, and execution, and to encourage closer ties between Mathon Systems and its clients and partners.
Mathon CEO MacDonald, says Remacle will be joined on the advisory board by a group of "internationally-renowned personalities" within the financial services and high-technology industries, to provide technical advice and strategic guidance.
Remacle is also on the boards of both TransConstellation, and Euroclear Belgium where he serves as chairman of its Audit Committee.
