SunGard buys Soliton's TimeSquare business

Fintech giant SunGard has acquired the TimeSquare reference data business of Toronto-based Soliton. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

SunGard says TimeSquare will become part of its referencePoint enterprise data management (EDM) managed services and solutions business.

Commenting on the acquisition, Janet Crowley, president of SunGard's referencePoint business unit, says: "TimeSquare complements SunGard's current data management offerings by bringing additional knowledge and expertise in managed data services helping meet the market data, reference data and time series data requirements of financial institutions."
