The UK-based building society is replacing its savings and mortgage system as well as revamping its Web-based point of sale, application processing, account administration and back office collections and recoveries systems.

Jack Cutts, head of IT, Nottingham Building Society comments: "Our customers will benefit from a wider product choice, increased access via more channels and a proactive service via a more customer-focused system, as well as faster and more efficient personalised responses. The Society will also achieve operational cost benefits, a result of the efficiency of the new systems compared with our existing infrastructure."

The contract also provides for replacing the existing Unisys branch customer service system.

TietoEnator established a substantial UK presence following last year's acquisition of financial systems house AttentiV for £56 million.
