Misys says Equation's branch automation module will provide IFIC's client-facing staff with product and services information and will extend customer services to signature verification, reconciliation between branches, improved security and access to additional ATMs.

IFIC says the Trade Innovation platform will be implemented at its head office and select branches and will be used to increase trade finance product and services offerings to corporate clients.

Mashiur Rahman, MD, IFIC, comments: "Customers demand the ability to perform transactions efficiently at any of our branches, more consistency in the services they receive and a wider range of banking products. Misys Equation will allow us to do all of this and start offering a wider range of services which will help us stay competitive as the market develops."
