The stock fell 18.10% to 2.25 pence after the vendor said discussions with a potential partner have now terminated.

CMS admitted on 7 April that it had received an early stage approach. That announcement came after the company's share price jumped from 1.12 pence to 2.87 pence on rumours that it was being bought out.

This is the second time in a year that takeover talks for the London-based vendor have fallen through. CMS initally said in March last year that it was holding discussions with an undisclosed company regarding a reverse takeover of the firm, but these talks were terminated in April.
