Bank of America has appointed JPMorgan Chase veteran Len Heckwolf as head of its new payments and receipts product management group within its global treasury services division.
In his 23 year career with JPMorgan Chase, Heckwolf managed numerous product and operations businesses, including controlled disbursement, funds transfer, ACH, online bill payment, distributed capture, electronic data interchange (EDI) and retail lockbox.
He was most recently head of JPMorgan's consumer payments solutions business unit, which is housed within the bank's treasury services division. He also built a product organisation focused on the middle market and commercial bank segments.
Heckwolf also served as chairman of electronic payments association Nacha from 2002-2004 and chaired Nacha's next generation ACH task force prior to becoming chairman. In 1998 he co-chaired a Federal Reserve task force focused on improving the risk profile of the ACH network. He has also served on the Payments Advisory Council of the Association for Financial Professionals.
At Bank of America Heckwolf will be responsible for all US payments and receipts product management and development. He will report to Skip Heaps, global product management executive for global treasury services.
