Hosted and shared by UOBF, Nihon Unicom, and an un-named US broker, the order routing facility is now live and will enable the three firms to provide respective customers with access to major derivatives exchanges in Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America.

Patsystems CEO Kevin Ashby, says the Taiwan system follows on from the hosted facilities management service the firm launched in Japan last year, which is run from Patsystems' data centre in Tokyo.

In a separate deal, the vendor has signed UOB Bullion and Futures as a new customer for its derivatives trading technology.
