Nigeria's United Bank for Africa (UBA) has implemented technology from US-based Fair Isaac to support its credit application processing.
The bank is using the vendor's CreditDesk system to automate origination and risk evaluation of individual credit applications.
Lamido Sanusi, AGM of UBA, says: "We identified the need for an automated scoring environment in our bank and the CreditDesk software provided an excellent match for our functionality requirements and business objectives."
The software was delivered and implemented by PIC Solutions, Fair Isaac's partner in the Africa and Middle East region.
