Eurodollar futures trading on Globex was halted for almost three hours Thursday after some users experienced trouble accessing the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's electronic dealing system.

Open-outcry trading of Eurodollars on the CME's trading floor continued during the outage, while the Exchange struggled to fix a glitch in the Globex order matching engine.

About 75% of Eurodollar volume is traded over Globex following a concerted push by the CME last year to migrate trading away from the open outcry pits.
