The Dutch bank began issuing its new look 'curved' smartcards this month and expects all credit card customers to have a chip and PIN card by mid-May.

The bank claims to be the first in the Netherlands to begin issuing EMV standard cards, which require cardholders to verify purchases by keying in a four-digit PIN rather than signing a receipt.
