Dutch financial services group Van der Hoop Bankiers has signed a seven-year contract with BT for outsourced IT and network services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
BT will manage the bank's IT systems, desktops, WAN and LAN networks and voice applications from its Dutch data centre.
Under the terms of the contract, the bank's existing IT staff will transfer to BT.
Van der Hoop says the outsourcing contract will enable it to cut costs and ensure the availability of its IT systems.
BT says its financial services clients in the Dutch market include Mazars, GIBO Groep, ABN Amro, ING and Rabobank.
