Corillian targets smaller banks with ASP offering

Oregan-based Corillian has launched Voyager Special Edition (SE), a hosted Internet banking solution tailored to the specific needs of small to mid-sized financial institutions. HP Credit Union has signed as the first customer for the package.

The solution includes Internet banking, bill payment and the complete integration of the Open Financial Exchange (OFX) data standard, giving banking customers real-time access to their financial information through personal financial management software programmes like Microsoft Money and Intuit's Quicken. Voyager SE can be connected to a variety of bank host systems and be live in as little as 60 to 90 days, says the company.

Ted Spooner, chief executive officer of Corillian, says: "Voyager SE gives institutions greater flexibility to customise their Internet banking solution with a choice of services and user interfaces. This flexibility allows institutions to deliver a fully functional service to their customers while maintaining control over the future of their e-finance programmes."

Brad Blair, electronic business unit manager of HPCU, says his company was looking for an outsourced solution and provider that could grow with HPCU, as well as provide the security and reliability of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service.

"With Voyager SE's quick implementation cycle and hosted environment, we can quickly provide the Internet banking service our members were asking for. Also, the openness and flexibility of Voyager SE allows us to work closely with Corillian on our direction for future technological developments," he adds.
