Bear Stearns signs for EBS Live FX data service

The EBS Live system feeds real-time FX prices directly to a bank's market data distribution platform at a consistent speed of less than 200 milliseconds.

The service was recently enhanced to deliver time slices of the best rates actively quoted on the EBS Spot system every 500 milliseconds.

David Schoenthal, senior managing director, Bear Stearns, says: "Technological innovation means that data latency is once again a key issue for this industry. For a global investment banking, securities trading and brokerage firm such as Bear Stearns, it is an essential part of the commercial proposition. We are confident that EBS Live will deliver a real difference to us."
