Bear Stearns is using technology from California-based BroadVision to develop a Web portal that will provide clients with online access to its clearing and administration services.
The bank is using BroadVision's Portal product at its global clearing services division to develop the system, which will provide personalised clearing services to clients.
Duncan Rawls, a senior managing director in IT at Bear Stearns, says: "Their (BroadVision's) standards-based approach and compliance features give us the flexibility we need while eliminating the development effort."
Bear Stearns also uses the BroadVision system to power its public Web site.
