Data is distributed over the airwaves from Telerate's hosted server farms. Although initially released for Blackberry devices, the technology is compatible with other formats such as Pocket PCs.

Telerate says the service includes customisable watch lists, charting features, portfolio capabilities and alert capabilities.

In addition to displaying Telerate's premium content, companies can also incorporate and display inhouse and other data via the the vendor's TelerateConnect.

Doug Jeffrey, MD, EMEA, Telerate, says: "Our customers have been looking for an easy-to-use portable application that delivers both Telerate content and in-house data anywhere and anytime to mobile devices and we feel that our solution satisfies all the requirements."
