Dhanalakshmi Bank, based in Southern India, has signed an outsourcing agreement with Euronet for the maintenance of its network of 100 ATMs.
Under the agreement, Euronet will deploy and maintain the 100 units as well as supply transaction processing and managed services.
The new machines will be connected to Euronet's shared ATM network in India, Cashnet.
Loney Antony, Euronet India managing director, says the vendor will also provide the bank with card issuing and management services.
"In today's outsourcing era, it makes immense sense for banks to focus on their core business and leave ATM deployment and management to experienced service providers," adds Antony.
