The paper reported that Euronext NV was planning to move administrative and settlement activities for Dutch and Belgian securities to Paris by 2007.

Refuting the report, a Euroclear spokeperson says that instead the depository is considering moving its Dutch and Belgian operations to the France-based RGV platform to settle trades. This could be implemented by 2007, subject to board approval.

Euroclear says registrar activities and asset protection will stay in local markets and no jobs would be affected by the change.
