TD Waterhouse orders 500 more Proquote screens

Online broker TD Waterhouse has contracted with London Stock Exchange subsidiary Proquote for the supply of a further 500 trading and market data terminals which it will use to support its new ProTrader service.

The new deal follows an order from the broker for 125 screens in September 2003.

The additional screens will support the launch of ProTrader - an integrated market data and dealing service that allows retail investors to access the same live market data as professional traders.

Angus Rigby, SVP, TD Waterhouse, says: "ProTrader offers real-time in-depth market information delivered in a cost effective and user-friendly way, and integrated within our trading services to allow investors to follow the market as closely as the professionals"

Under the contract 250 Proquote terminals are to be delivered when ProTrader goes live on 10 May. The rest will follow later in the year.

In addition to supplying screens, Proquote worked with TD Waterhouse to develop the technical environment for the ProTrader service.

Proquote says the new deal is its biggest order to date.
