TD Waterhouse has purchased Proquote's View and Trader screens which provide access to a Retail Service Provider (RSP) platform carrying price information from major market makers.

Proquote, which was acquired by the London Stock Exchange in January this year, says the new contract makes TD Waterhouse its second biggest corporate customer behind Gerrards.

The vendor says it has sold around 500 screens this year to customers such as Charles Stanley, Investec Henderson Crosthwaite, Prudential Bache, Hichens Harrison, MacArthur and Company and Ramsey Crookall.

David Lester, CIO at the London Stock Exchange, says: "There is growing demand for reasonably-priced but functional trading and market data systems."
