Saudi Arabia's Al Rajhi Banking and Investment Corporation has licensed Arcot Systems' TransFort software to provide Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode online authentication services to its cardholders.
The VbV and SecureCode programmes require cardholders making online purchases to verify their identity with a password.
Elis Nemes, president, Arcot, says: "Al Rajhi Banking and Investment is at the forefront on the Saudi market and worked closely with Visa and Arcot in the development of the programme."
Arcot says its TransFort software currently supports 8000 issuers and 10,000 merchants worldwide.
