The new service effectively allows traders to access all the main equities and derivatives markets around the world without the need for exchange membership.

Nils Nilsson, CEO, Orc Software, says: "We have seen an increased demand for a truly global trading network that can provide direct access, speed, simplicity, cost efficiency and the capability to support order routing for equities and derivatives."

Brokers are able to use Orc ExNet to connect to customers and to offer additional services such as market data - the network can be used to send data to customers directly, without routing via data centres or other bottlenecks. Data relating to orders and trades can also be given priority over other types of transferred data.
