In his new role, Agahi will lead a team responsible for the continued development of Brodia's next-generation platform, offered in partnership with financial institutions and wireless carriers. In November, Brodia raised a further $30 million from new and existing investors, including Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, MasterCard, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

Agahi joins Brodia just prior to the launch of Discover deskshop 2.0. Under his guidance, Brodia and Discover Financial Services integrated the Discovercard.com Account Center and Discover Card's Internet ShopCenter with new functionality provided by the Brodia Platform to create an integrated virtual credit card for Internet shoppers.

As manager of Wells Fargo's Internet development services group, Agahi was responsible for engineering activities related to the development of wellsfargo.com, the online banking solution for more than 2.5 million Wells Fargo customers. During his tenure with Wells Fargo, Agahi built a team of technology solution specialists that implemented large-scale, Web-enabled business applications for a variety of business groups. As vice president in charge of the planning and engineering group for end-user computing, he developed the next-generation common desktop platform.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Agahi was the director of systems engineering at Oakland's TRW Financial Systems, supervising a team that designed and built customised systems for Fortune 500 clients.
