San Francisco-based retail banking solutions provider Brodia has appointed Douglas Barr as vice president of mobile services. The former Vodafone AirTouch Cellular executive brings over 12 years of telecommunications experience to the company.
At Brodia, Barr will lead a team responsible for extending the company's next generation platform to the mobile environment and solidifying new relationships with wireless carriers.
While at Vodafone AirTouch, Barr mobilised the company's mobile internet products team to deploy the first CDMA-based wireless Internet service. He was also a launch leader for AirTouch Mobile Web and the companion Web portal.
Brodia recently signed an agreement with 724 Solutions Inc., to enable interoperability between the 724 Solutions Financial Services Platform (FSP) and Brodia's mobile wallet services.
