TietoEnator says the online interface between the two systems will provide a homogeneous infrastructure for electronic payment processing, enabling the bank to reduce operating costs and improve customer information management.

Hinrich Holm, member of the management board, Nord/LB Lietuva, says: "The decision to create the interface between the banking system and the payment card system is the last step to bring Nord/LB in line with the most advanced banks in the North East Europe.

"After the project is implemented, the e-banking services provided to our customers will be more efficient and flexible."
