EDS reports outsourcing contracts worth $100 million

EDS is reporting new, add-on and renewed IT outsurcing contracts worth $100 million with Italian bank Banca Popolare Di Sondrio, French banking group Société Générale and The National Clearing House in the US.

The contracts include an eight-year agreement with new customer Banca Popolare Di Sondrio for mainframe hosting services. Financial terms of the deal with the Italian bank were not disclosed.

Société Générale has signed a five-year contract extension with the vendor for the standardisation and on-going support of 15,000 workstations and 6000 printers as well as for telecommunications network services for 20,000 users.

Additionally, EDS has recently won a five-year business process outsourcing (BPO) agreement with new client, The National Clearing House (NCHA), for transaction processing services, including cheque imaging services such as image replacement document (IRD) printing and distribution to address the recent Check 21 legislation.
