The new office will be open in Q2 2004 and headed by the vendor's local business consultant, John Anderson, who will be joined by both a sales and a product development specialist.

Telekurs says there is a demand for more timely and accurate data in the market due to Basle II requirements and the increasing use of STP applications .

The Scottish operation will also continue to develop Telekur's securities pricing and valuations businesses.

The move follows the beefing up of the vendor's UK business at the start of the year, when a number of top-level appointments were made.
