Insight Investment Management Limited (Insight), the asset manager of the UK banking group HBOS, is to deploy Financial Models Company's (FMC) performance measurement and attribution software, FMCSylvan.
In addition, Insight will also use the product's Web-based reporting module to generate performance reports and online analysis. Insight will also implement FMCSylvan's stock level attribution and fixed income attribution modules.
James Neill, head of performance for Insight, says in selecting a system, the firm wanted to avoid having to purchase separate software for equity and fixed income operations: "We are confident that FMCSylvan can meet all of our performance and attribution requirements within a single integrated solution, and we are comfortable making it the standard throughout the enterprise."
FMC says Insight purchased its software after reviewing products from six other vendors.
