Allied Irish Bank (AIB) is to manage e-mail communications to and from customers using technology from Boston-based Amacis.
The bank is rolling out Amacis' electronic communications management software, Amacis Visibility.
The platform is able to handle two-way e-mail communications and includes routing, response and management functions. All e-mail interactions are maintained in a single message store.
Amacis says the software will not only reduce handling and response times but also enable all customer e-mail communications to be handled and responded to through a single interface.
Tom Montgomery, CEO, Amacis, says the system "will make a tangible difference to the way in which the AIB Group interacts with its customers".
