HVB Group has integrated Pegasystems software with its existing payments, reconciliation and back-office systems. Payment exceptions are automatically routed into the Pegasystems application for reporting and redirection to relevant staff.

Martin Buehler, HVB Group, says the software's graphical approach to business rules is easy and intuitive to use.

"Mitigating risk is too often an inexact science in financial systems, and there are numerous ways that payments can go awry," he says. "Pegasystems' software is scalable, allowing many thousands of users of the software at once."

Pegasystems is also previewing a new exception management platform that it plans to launch in early 2004. The company claims the new system will offer automated interfaces between Pegaystems and third-party applications. So rather than navigate through several different systems to find the right information to resolve an exception, operations personnel will be able to use a unified platform.
