The bank is using the simulation to demonstrate its new online business banking services to potential customers, as well as providing in situ training for existing customers.

The replica allows customers to select fictional accounts with similar characteristics to their own business. The customer can then adopt various roles within the fictional company with various levels of access and functionality.

Neil MacKenzie, head of e-commerce, business banking, Bank of Scotland, says the simulation "contributes in the marketing of our new system to potential customers, provides experience-based learning for current customers and enhances training for banking staff."
