User Authentication and access management is always used double edge sword
one side - customer convenience, frictionless usage, ease of use to less tech savvy customers and more..
Other side - same story as described above
With Facial authentication becoming common it can be used as second factor to make life easy but again if I put as condition for high value transaction amount then that will go against ease of use.

Thanks Madhavi for putting snapshot of Nigerian Fintech industry and it's future prospect with some of the experts views.
Few inter connected points which might help to further bring more clarity.
1. New Niara Currency notes before election seems clear that, parties will not be able to buy votes using cash.
2. New notes event and shortly launch of AfriGo local card further indicate to promote digital payment but, why so much haressment to citizens who dwell with 'cash is king' due to limited access to the financial services like banks or even micro finance or agency banking as well as crisis of fuel and violence are increasing - this is making the social situation more uncertain and can lead to wrong selection of candidates.
3. Is such situations strengthen candidate like Peter obi's stand more stronger? some kind of favors going on.
I have helped several Nigeria based fintech startups and they all have shared common issue for Nigerians - access to financial services offline - at their door steps like in Kenya. One of the successful factor for Nigeria to get stronger fintech and digital payment penetration - Govt and CBN promoting ICT, Smart phones and bringing social security to go to the last mile.
