Why is no-one from Banco Sabatell being casticated? It was their decision to replace the IT systems, not Pester's. He is the fall guy for a decision made in Spain.

Why is no-one from Banco Sabadell being called to account? The decision to replace the IT systems was not made by Pester. Who made that decision at Sabadell and why are they not answerable?

How many customers does Monzo have out of the estimated 40,000,000 personal current accounts in the UK? How many of it's have clients quit their principal current account and moved entirely to Monzo? Why do you not identify yourself - do you work for Monzo or one of it's suppliers?

Sorry but a survey of 1000 Brits does not convince me of the results. How many people have bank accounts in the UK - 40 million?

Excellent analysis

So an unnamed member in Sweden rubbishes the G4S survey, without any comments about the remaining 200+ countries in the world, most of which do not have the sophistication of technology available in Sweden. They need to get out of their little country and understand what is going on in the rest of the world.

I find it interesting to read an article written by someone resident in the US and writing about fintech in Europe. I would be more interested in comparing these trends with the US, where fintech has often been 10 or more years behind Europe. As someone with a home in both countries and having worked in the fintech industry for 40 years I was continually amazed at at the slowness to adopt technology. I bought my first mobile telephone in 1987 but could not use it in the US for 10 years. When I opened my first bank account in the US in the same year I was given 10 check books. Why? Because there were no automated payments. Please include the US in your comparisons.

About time - package delivery companies - DHL, TNT, etc, have been able to do it for 10 years or more.

I'm certain that every fintech company is salivating at the money to be made from Open Banking. However, it is yet to be shown whether Joe Public will adopt it.
