As discussed last year, the inevitable has occurred. A couple of questions ;

a) can MitM attacks successfull against token based two factor authentication

b) how will software based authentication used by a few UK and Canadian Banks work against these attacks.

Security vendor RSA is reporting an increase in the amount of free 'man-in-the-middle' phishing kits - designed to subvert bank two-factor authentication controls - circulating in the fraudster underground.

For the record my money is on b).
