SCF Product Engine as a Service

SCF Product Engine as a Service

We all might get a slight pause by the title of this post. I still remember that I penned a blog few years back on XaaS ('X' stands for anything or everything). It's like anything or everything as a service which could be provided for the betterment of the society by resolving pain points.

However, SCF Product Engine as a Service or if we coin the term like SPEaaS which is actually rising out of approachable solutions derived from the issues, SCF industry is grappling with, through evaluating, designing, constructing and enabling the launch of the SCF offerings through plug & play approach. There could be equivalent, alternate naming options, already available in the market like Open Account Trade Finance as a Service but industry might be in need of fixing the base first by a real micro-service based scalable feature only to entitle small, medium or large corporates to conceptualise along with a launchpad for their SCF offerings. If the foundation is rightly measured and constructed then we all know how to build the floors above. Hence, first formulate a base like SCF Product & Program/Relationship configurator and then keep on offering them incrementally to the corporates.

Few SCF software providers in the market are already equipped with such pre-defined templates to construct SCF products as per client's business needs.A handful of Fintechs or Techfins are claiming to have the same functionality but in reality most of us evidenced the hardcoded product variants only.

Architecting SCF Products along with Program/Relationship through configurator engine with various inbuild but at the same time scalable parameters will empower Buyers/Suppliers/Financiers/various SCF facilitators to ideate, design and launch their respective businesses in the market as quickly as possible. Leveraging this option along with current value added services could anchorage the SCF industry further.
