Artificial intelligence is still a rapidly growing field, and we keep discovering many new uses for it in various different spheres. And while it’s not clear how long this growth and progress will continue for, one thing is certain right now – it’s reasonable to expect quite a lot in the coming months of 2020. In fact, we might be at a stage where the growth of AI is at its peak, promoted partly due to the current global circumstances.
1. AI Will Keep Spreading in Multiple Environments
The applications of AI are already quite diverse and interesting, and it’s always exciting to think about what else might be possible. Various new fields have been emerging as adopters of the technology as well, and it’s not unreasonable to think that we might see an explosion in the performance of AI in some specific fields, like finance, entertainment, and insurance.
2. Heavy Focus on Healthcare Solutions
Healthcare is another sector that’s seeing a big boom in AI developments right now, and that should be no surprise to anyone, looking at the current situation. We’ve already seen many interesting applications of the technology that have assisted in dealing with the global COVID-19 pandemic, and we will likely see even more in the near future, judging by the way things are going.
3. More Accessibility for Everyone
One of the main problems with AI is the high barrier of entry that still exists in the field. However, that’s been going away little by little, and it likely won’t be long before everyone interested will have a chance to try their hand at it. It’s still important to pay attention to the fundamental skills required to get started in the first place, of course, but it does look like people will have a much better opportunity to polish those in general.
4. Stabilizing the Situation
Let’s face it – the market for AI is a mess in its current state. Even many of the experts in the field aren’t entirely sure where things are headed, and with new frameworks and other solutions coming out on a regular basis, it can be very difficult indeed to keep track of what’s going on. This won’t last forever though – eventually things will slow down and the field will focus on a few important points that matter the most.
5. Remote Work
Remote work is a big topic right now, and it’s likely going to become an even more prominent one in the near future. With that in mind, it’s important to understand the strong impact that AI is having on this field, and the ways that it interacts with people involved. There’s a lot that can be done by the average AI tool to assist the work of someone working from home, and it’s a good idea to start getting familiar with those possibilities from early on.
6. Entertainment
AI already has a major presence in many fields of entertainment, and there is no indication that this is going to slow down anytime soon. This is especially true when looking at fields like video games, where the technology has a great opportunity to have a strong impact. It will be interesting to see how much more gaming can evolve as a result of the tight integration of AI technology into the field, and it will certainly lead to some exciting changes in the very near future, if things keep going the same way.
7. Exploring New Horizons
It’s also important to keep an eye on the potential new developments that might happen in the future that would be rather unexpected. It’s hard to predict those of course, but one can definitely do a lot to maintain focus on the situation and be alerted when something new is coming up that might be of interest. It’s impossible to keep track of everything that’s happening in the field, especially at the current rate things are going, but it’s definitely not that hard to pay attention to some of the factors that might be more relevant to you specifically, and know when something is coming up that you can play a role in. The field definitely offers plenty of opportunities for that.
