What's happened to Finextra?

Great news. Some Rich Internet experience expected? Also more interactivity within members possible? Lot of members are silent, how do add value to them.

Yes, we've got some big plans to boost interactivity among Community members. It's a phased roll-out beginning with the public newswire. But rest asured - the Community experience is uppermost in our thoughts and plans. There are some exciting changes afoot - stay tuned.

I use my laptop and sometimes my mobile (with opera). I get the news feed as email, I'm still a luddite when it comes to allowing web based systems to interact with my desktop, however a trusted source like finextra may see me embrace some more advanced features.

Although I find the e-mail alerts from Finextra very useful, I find that I'm increasingly using RSS to keep up to date with news stories & blogs. My main access device is by laptop, but I do use a PDA when travelling for e-mail.

I've been also quite impressed with the potential of instant messaging integrated with a community or social network. Facebook has done instant messaging quite well from a user experience & connectivity point of view, but please don't follow their example on data privacy policies!

 I have a request to make. Can each community have a seperate community website (Pseudo or Micro-site) linked to blog. This will help us to collate lot of content from all members / non-members. Shall be good educative / informative experience and nothing clicks in websites other than Content - as you know.
