Stuart Evans is the chief economist at Fastmarkets with over 14 years of expertise in strategy, sustainability and carbon markets. He leads Fastmarkets Carbon, developing sustainability and economics products for major commodity markets while collaborating with investors, corporates and governments to navigate the net-zero transition through his experience in modelling, analytics, corporate strategy and business development.

Before joining Fastmarkets, Stuart served as an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led global carbon market analytics. He also held the role of Advisor to Australia's Minister for Climate Change, contributing extensively to domestic and international climate policy.

A recognised thought leader, Stuart frequently speaks on carbon markets and international climate policy at institutions such as Chatham House and the Atlantic Council, as well as global events.
