Ecommpay, a leading international Payment Service Provider and UK and Europe direct bank Card Acquirer, has made the high-profile appointment of Miranda McLean as Chief Marketing Officer.
Strengthening the representation of women in its senior leadership team, the new hire will support the company’s continued investment in innovation and its differentiated merchant proposition.
Miranda’s appointment underlines Ecommpay’s commitment to growing its presence in the UK and Europe, and continuing to scale in the US, Latin America and Asia. As e-commerce, travel and FinTech businesses seek to reduce time-to-market and time-to-revenue, as well as offer their customers the best possible payment experiences, Ecommpay’s proprietary full stack payments platform is set up to meet their goals. Solutions include global Card Acquiring, Alternative Payment Methods, Open Banking, and BNPL, while also delivering award-winning fraud prevention and a streamlined checkout experience.
As part of her remit, Miranda will be responsible for determining the global strategic direction for marketing. With more than 25 years’ B2B marketing experience, predominantly in the financial services sector, Miranda is one of the most high-profile women in FinTech. She has recently been recognised as one of the Standout 45 as part of the Innovate Finance Women in FinTech Powerlist. This selection of women has been drawn from the 250+ women on the Powerlist, and denotes those who are making an incredible, lasting impact in FinTech, over and above their day-to-day role.
Miranda joins Ecommpay from Banking Circle, where she joined as part of the founding team and created and launched the brand identity and marketing strategy. She has held senior leadership positions at Thomson Financial, Reuters, and Standard and Poor’s, leading and shaping marketing strategy and operations, with responsibility for multi-million-pound budgets.
Focusing beyond her own career, Miranda serves on the Executive Board of the European Women Payments Network (EWPN), which focuses on championing the skills and expertise of women in the FinTech and Payments sectors. She also sits on the Advisory Board of the FinTech B2B Marketing Community.
