Integrated with ReadyToTap™ Payment for Merchants dejamobile’s white-label SoftPOS solution, Rabobank’s Rabo SmartPin Android and iOS app enables merchants to accept contactless payments directly on their smartphones. The new contactless payment feature of the Rabo SmartPin app extends Rabobank’s acquiring services for SMEs and merchants that require a highly mobile and versatile payment acceptance solution.

Merchants can simply download the Rabo SmartPin app on their smartphone, activate the Tap to Pay on Android or iPhone service via Rabobank’s merchant dashboard and begin accepting contactless payments. Tap to Pay solution builds on top of Rabobank’s existing mPOS product, eliminating the need for a dedicated mobile PIN device. With the addition of the Tap to Pay feature, the Rabo SmartPin app can now be used as a complete cash register solution, as the app enables merchants to create a product catalogue in the app, track their stock, link the app to multiple users and even register cash payments.

Nico Strauss, Rabobank’s Tribe Lead B2B Services, said: “With this introduction, we are making Rabo SmartPin even more accessible for entrepreneurs. All they need to accept a payment is a smartphone and the Rabo SmartPin app. This not only makes business easier but also helps customers keep track of transactions and revenue.”

Rabobank is happy about choosing dejamobile to help deliver their Tap to Pay solution. Product Manager Christa Braker commented: “It has been a pleasure working with dejamobile. As one of the largest banks in The Netherlands, we hold high standards for offering payment services. dejamobile met every expectation we had.”

The satisfaction from the project is on both sides as also Houssem Assadi, CEO at dejamobile expressed his appreciation: “We are delighted to be working with Rabobank’s team in the Netherlands to deploy Tap to Pay solution that provides merchants with a flexible, easy-to-use and cost-effective way to accept contactless payments using just their smartphone.
Tap to Pay on iPhone as well on Android technology allows Rabobank to offer the service to all their merchants through Rabo SmartPin app.”
