Pockit appoints Garreth Griffith As COO

Pockit, the UK fintech providing vital financial services to people whose needs aren’t met by the traditional banking system, announced today it has appointed experienced fintech professional Garreth Griffith as its Chief Operating Officer.

Griffith will oversee Pockit’s day-to-day operations and assist in developing and delivering the next phase of Pockit’s growth strategy. He brings a wealth of fintech and payments experience to Pockit’s senior leadership team, having previously worked at global payments and e-commerce firms such as Amazon, PayPal and eBay with roles covering marketing, risk management and customer experience.

Before joining Pockit, Griffith served as COO at fintech mortgage broker and home-buying service Habito, where he led the company’s customer operations, legal, financial, risk & compliance functions. He also sits on the board of Get Safe Online, an information source covering online safety and information security.

The appointment comes during a period of growth for Pockit as the company seeks to grow its customer base from current levels of roughly 900,000 individuals in the UK, and as the firm expands its product range with new services such as Income Advance and more developed credit products.
