Montonio has elevated the online shopping experience with the direct integration of BLIK into merchant checkouts in Poland.
As a testament to Montonio’s commitment to adapt to the evolving preferences of consumers, this latest update promises a streamlined payment process tailored to the Polish market.
Established in 2015, BLIK is the most frequently used mobile payment method in Poland. Currently, over 90% of all customers of Polish financial institutions have the option to use BLIK in mobile banking applications. The convenience of BLIK is clear: a simple 6-digit code generated in the BLIK app is all it takes to complete the transaction. Customers will now be able to enter the code directly in the merchant’s checkout without the need to be redirected to any external websites. With the Polish consumer’s evident preference for BLIK, this type of seamless integration into the e-commerce payment landscape is paramount.
“We recognize BLIK’s dominant role in Poland’s e-commerce sector,” shared Andrzej Bagiński, Montonio’s Poland Country Manager. “With our latest update, consumers can effortlessly enter their BLIK code directly in the checkout, removing the need for any external redirects. This innovation directly caters to the expectations of Polish online consumers.”
The benefits of incorporating BLIK directly are twofold. Not only can merchants offer a familiar and preferred payment method, but consumers also reap the rewards of a faster and more intuitive transaction process.
Bagiński further commented on the significance of the update, “While our previous BLIK implementation boasted commendable conversion rates, this direct integration paves the way for an even smoother merchant and customer experience.”
BLIK is now accessible in Montonio’s checkout through their API, and through a dedicated WooCommerce plugin, marking it as the initial platform to display BLIK fields during the checkout phase, with the integration timeline for other platforms yet to be determined.
