“Our customers want payment flexibility. Today with Stripe we can offer card payments, and we’re now set-up to easily turn on new local payment methods whenever we need them,” said Mark Askew, solutions and automation director at EDF. “We’re making it easy for them to pay in whatever way works for them—and with Stripe we’re able to make card payments incredibly easy.”
To ensure a smooth roll out and elevated experience across its customer base, EDF will leverage Professional Services alongside Premium Support.
“The energy sector in the UK has been underserved by legacy technology for too long,” said Max Roberts, EMEA revenue and growth lead at Stripe. “EDF is a great example of a provider modernizing its payments infrastructure to serve customers better. This type of transformation has real benefits for UK businesses and consumers, and we’re delighted to play a part.”
The announcement comes after Stripe published a study revealing that businesses using Stripe’s newest checkout optimizations saw 10.5% more revenue.
