With an illustrious career that spans over two decades in tech entrepreneurship, venture capital and product design, David's arrival enhances Aperture's value proposition as the premier destination for forward-thinking investors and founders in the financial and enterprise technology sectors.

Founded in 2019, Aperture is dedicated to supporting early-stage companies by providing not only financial backing but also hands-on expertise, strategic guidance and growth execution capabilities. The addition of David Galbraith to the Aperture team enhances Aperture's ability to make investment decisions informed by deeper, thesis-driven assessments and broadens the spectrum of value-added, embedded services Aperture offers to its portfolio companies.

Before joining Aperture, David served as a Partner at the financial services-focused VC firm Anthemis. In this role, he oversaw strategy & insights across portfolios and created the Anthemis Foundry.

Furthermore, David brings a wealth of operator experience to Aperture, having co-founded several successful internet companies. These include MRL Ventures where he instigated the project that became Yelp, Moreover.com, acquired by Verisign, Origins.net, acquired by D.C. Thomson, and Realtime Anywhere, the first internet company in London's tech hub, Shoreditch.

David's product experience includes co-authoring the RSS standard, which underpins podcasts and media syndication, and developing several core components of social media platforms, such as the concept of visual bookmarking that underpins Pinterest and the short bios used by almost all social media services to uniquely describe people.
