Darktrace plc (DARK.L) (together with its subsidiaries, "Darktrace" or "the Group"), a global leader in cyber security AI, ispleased to announce today the appointment of Elaine Bucknor as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 June, 2023.
Elaine has over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Elaine's last executive role was at Sky, one of Europe'sleading broadcasting and media companies and one of the UK's largest telecommunications and mobile businesses, where sheworked for over ten years and was an integral part of its senior leadership team, with overall responsibility for the Sky group'stechnology strategy. She was also Sky's Group Chief Information Security Officer, owning and delivering Sky's strategic planfor cyber security.
Prior to Sky, Elaine held operational and consultancy roles with multinational market leaders in the Telecommunications,Media, Technology, Travel, Utilities and Financial sectors, including at ITV, the BBC and AOL/Carphone Warehouse, whereshe advised at Board, executive and leadership level on technology capabilities for growth, efficiency and resilience in highlydisrupted markets.
Elaine currently also serves as a Non-Executive Director of AIM-listed conveyancing software company, Smoove plc, andNotting Hill Genesis group, one of the UK's largest housing associations.
