Gilbert's invaluable knowledge and experience will be instrumental during a time of rapid growth as the company continues to scale its operations.

Total Processing, founded in 2015, continues to grow its client base and help its customers make processing payments as seamless and secure as possible. Recently listed in the Sunday Times 100 fastest-growing UK companies, it has been delivering payment solutions to thousands of clients and processing millions of transactions each month.

Martin Gilbert, current chairman of Revolut and founder of Aberdeen Asset Management, brings with him extensive experience in both traditional and disruptive financial services. As CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management from 1991 to 2017, he helped grow the company into one of the world's leading independent asset managers with £308 billion of assets under management. Over the past three years, Gilbert has also played a key role in Revolut's growth from an innovative fintech company to a challenger bank.

Gilbert is well-equipped to provide guidance to the board at Total Processing as it seeks to scale the business and expand its international reach. His appointment is a clear sign of Total Processing's commitment to growth and its ambition to become a leader in the global payments industry.

Rob Pallin, CEO at Total Processing added: “It’s a real privilege to welcome Martin to the Total Processing team. His wealth of industry knowledge and strategic business experience is second-to-none, and his guidance will be invaluable.

“It also comes at a perfect moment for us. We have big plans for 2023 and with Martin’s support, I am confident that the upward trajectory of Total Processing will only continue as we strive towards our mission to be the most customer-focused payments company in the world.”

Gilbert commented on his appointment, saying: "Total Processing has already established itself as one of the UK's most exciting fintech companies. I’m eager to start working with Total Processing's board to help scale its operation globally. With its focus on providing a complete service to its customers and the global shift towards digital payments, there is a huge opportunity here."
