Alasdair’s experience in client relationships and propositions, as well as in sustainability and sustainability reporting, will support Tumelo’s drive to democratise shareholder voting through technology.

He joins Jon Lukomnik - one-time fiduciary for the five New York City pension funds and lauded by Forbes as one of the pioneers of modern corporate governance - as a strategic advisor to Tumelo.

Georgia Stewart, CEO of Tumelo, said: “This is very exciting for us. There is no limit to the value of having people with Alasdair’s experience on board, and we’re looking forward to working together to help fund managers, shareholders, and others in the investment ecosystem benefit from more impactful stewardship.”

Alasdair Kinloch added: “I am enormously excited to be working with Tumelo to bring shareholder voting rights closer to asset owners. I have been hugely impressed with the vision and energy that the team at Tumelo bring to helping the industry solve this challenge.

“As asset owners look to bolster their stewardship processes, Tumelo’s solution helps them address the increased governance requirements and gives asset managers the most easy-to-use tools to facilitate this. Having worked at the boundary between asset managers and their clients for many years, I can see the value for the industry in their solution and I look forward to helping Tumelo shape their leading proposition.”
