ANZ's 1835i Ventures appoints new London-based partner

1835i Ventures, the external innovation and venture capital partner of ANZ Bank, has today announced the appointment of Nicole Anderson as its new Venture Partner based out of London.

Ms Anderson, the first international appointment for the firm which is headquartered in Melbourne Australia, will be focused on driving conversations and connections across the UK, EMEA and Israel.

Following a 15 year career in executive leadership roles in a variety of global technology companies, Ms Anderson has spent the last 10 years as a venture capital investor, venture builder and entrepreneur in Fintech, Sustainability and Energy. She is an active board member and advisor in Fintech and has achieved a number of accolades, including ‘Top 100 Women in FINTECH’ and ‘Power Women in FINTECH’ (UK, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).

Justin Greenstein, Chief Executive Officer at 1835i, said that Ms Anderson’s appointment is a great opportunity for the business to explore markets that are rich in terms of ideas, founders and entrepreneurs.

“1835i’s mandate is to connect ANZ Bank, one of the world’s top 50 Banks, with the best and brightest in fintech. We see Nicole joining us as a strong step in finding those further afield who are doing exciting things in our areas of focus.”

Ms Anderson notes that she is proud to be joining the firm at this stage of its history and helping to expand its footprint into new markets.
