Solarisbank, Europe’s leading Banking-as-a-Service platform, today announced the appointment of Ingmar Krusch as Chief Information Officer and Dennis Winter as Chief Technology Officer.
The newly created dual leadership team will be assuming responsibilities from CTO Hima Mandali, who will leave the company at his own request at the end of July and has decided to return to the United States. The two highly experienced tech professionals have already been working for Solarisbank for several years and will report directly to Chief Platform Officer Dr. Jörg Howein in their new roles.
“As a result of the Contis partnership and the expansion with local branches and tech hubs, Solarisbank has grown into a multinational company. Almost half of the more than 700 employees are part of the tech and product teams, and we are convinced that a close-knit dual leadership can master the challenges of a growing tech organization. I am thrilled that we were able to win over Ingmar and Dennis, two outstanding managers from our own ranks, for this task,” says Dr. Jörg Howein, CPO of Solarisbank.
Winter was most recently Vice President Technical Operations at Solarisbank and in this role responsible for the secure and compliant operation of the tech platform. Before joining the company, he worked for more than 15 years as an engineer in agile companies with an increasing focus on systems development and automation. He has been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) of the ISC² since 2014. In his new role as CTO Winter will be responsible for the strategic development of the Tech architecture, the security strategy as well the integration of the Contis platform.
Krusch was most recently Vice President of Engineering at Solarisbank and in charge of developing and scaling product engineering. With more than 20 years of experience in the web portal, mobile and fintech business, he is a seasoned Tech manager on the engineering, architecture and infrastructure side. In his career Krusch transformed teams and departments into fast paced, cross-functional engineering units, and has a proven track record of transformational leadership. As CIO he will drive the tech organization as a whole, including coordination between the engineers in all hubs as well as alignment and implementation of the tech and product strategy.
“The Solaris tech team has grown significantly over the last few years and has been a key contributor to our success story. The cloud migration, the development of our in-house core banking system, and the set-up of our international tech hubs are just a few of the impressive achievements. Today, Solaris is the core platform for new disruptive and innovative financial ecosystem participants and by continuously improving our cutting-edge tech platform, we will manifest this market leadership. I look forward to embarking on this journey with the new leadership duo,” says Dr. Roland Folz, Group CEO of Solarisbank.
