Ebury promotes Victor Tuson Palau to CTO; Toby Young moves to PagoNxt

Ebury, one of the largest fintechs in Europe, is delighted to announce that Victor Tuson Palau has taken over as Chief Technology Officer of the business.

Victor was previously SVP of Engineering within Ebury and before that he held the same position in Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu. He will now join the leadership team and assume responsibility for Ebury’s innovative tech offering.

Victor will continue to focus on scaling Ebury's platform, both in terms of the volume of payments and transactions and internationally as Ebury’s reach expands. Victor leads a globally distributed and remote-first engineering team that enables customers to access Ebury’s services anytime and anywhere.

He takes over from Toby Young who moves to a Senior Adviser role for Ebury as well as Head of Open Market Technology Strategy at PagoNxt - an autonomous payments tech company within Santander.

Ebury offers financial solutions to help SMEs and midcaps trade internationally. It specialises in international payments and collections, offers foreign exchange activity in over 130 currencies for both major and emerging markets, as well as cash management strategies, trade finance, and foreign exchange risk management.
Founded in London in 2009 by Spanish entrepreneurs Juan Lobato and Salvador García, the company has grown its global market presence to a network of 24 offices in 20 countries and more than 1,100 employees. The volume of transactions executed by Ebury amounts to $21 billion annually.
