Now clients can use their mobile phones and Google Pay as the fastest way to pay.

With Google Pay available as a service in the ABN AMRO app, clients can now use their phones for contactless payment, at no extra charge: in shops, in food and drink establishments and even at the market. Now, you can use your mobile phone as a quick and easy way to pay for your coffee-to-go.

“We want to make digital payment faster and easier for our clients. We’re seeing that more and more clients prefer to pay using their mobile phones. Now they can: simply activate Google Pay in the ABN AMRO app, and you can leave your bank card at home. Your mobile phone is a digital bank card that’s with you wherever you are. Google Pay is fast, simple and secure. That’s what we’re offering clients with the Google Pay service, and ABN AMRO is proud of this step,” says Sander Littooy, Product Owner Digital Payments at ABN AMRO.

Adding Google Pay to the bank’s payment products means that ABN AMRO now also has a mobile payment solution for Android users. ABN AMRO’s clients could already use Apple Pay.
